This means that it\u2019s critical for you to create a brand for your company that adequately displays what your company does. It\u2019s also vital for your to protect your company brand as this reflects on how your company does business. In this article, we\u2019ll give you some pointers on how you can define your company <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalschoolofmarketing.co.za\/blog\/what-is-brand-management\/\">brand<\/a> so that it gives the best image of your company.<\/p>\n<h2>Defining your brand<\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Define your business\u2019 objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Before you can define your brand, you need to know what your business\u2019 objectives are. This is because your organisation and your brand are closely intertwined. Think of it this way: your brand is a way of describing what the company does, so if you don\u2019t know what your company does you can\u2019t describe it.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the questions that you\u2019ll need to answer when defining your company\u2019s objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What does my business do?<\/li>\n<li>How does it meet customers\u2019 needs?<\/li>\n<li>What is the value that I bring to my customers?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve answered this, you can start to make your brand fit around your company.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Look at who your target market is<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve figured out what your <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalschoolofmarketing.co.za\/blog\/how-can-businesses-use-social-media-marketing\/\">business<\/a> does, you need to determine who you\u2019re going to be selling your product and\/or service to. Look at the specific demographics that characterise these people:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What gender are they?<\/li>\n<li>How old are they?<\/li>\n<li>What do they do for a living?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you have answers to these questions, you can start building a profile of who your target is and start to gain other customers who fit this profile.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Attract the right employees<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The fuel of the modern economy is knowledge. In fact, it is said that data and the ability to process this data is going to be as valuable, if not more so, that oil. This means that in order to manipulate this data and draw actionable insights from it you need to have people who will help you to do this. In other words, you need employees.<\/p>\n<p>In order to attract the right employees for your company and brand, you need to project the right image into the market that will ensure that the employees who are attracted to your company are the right fit for you.
