If that is the case, a metric to focus on would be the \u201cconversion rate\u201d of a piece of content. \u00a0For example, if a particular piece of content gets a 100 visits a month and converts 10 of those visitors into leads or paying customers, your conversion rate will be 10%.<\/p>\n<p>Using this metric you can then start measuring which pieces of content are responsible for the majority of your conversions. However, below are a few simple steps you can follow with respect to auditing your content:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Export Your Content in into Excel<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can export your content with the push of a button if you\u2019re using Google Analytics or a social media monitoring tool like Hootsuite or Buffer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Filter by Metric<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next, open the Excel spreadsheet and decide which column\/metric you want to use.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Filter by Largest to Smallest<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Filter the column so that it shows the highest value at the top and the smallest value at the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Audit.<\/p>\n<p>You can now easily determine which pieces of content is working and which ones are not.
